How it is obtained
UpalgoDB is licensed by Ezako with the Upalgo Labeling editions it coordinates, and installed on the customer’s infrastructure after an evaluation on the customer’s data. How Upalgo is obtained gives the terms.
UpalgoDB
Central data and labeling server
UpalgoDB is the central server of the Upalgo suite. Designed for petabyte-scale archives, it stores recordings and labels and coordinates labeling teams across Upalgo Labeling Sound, DAS and Timeseries. It is deployed on the customer’s infrastructure, including air-gapped networks.
- The database menu: every label, from every edition of Upalgo Labeling, is stored here and reached from it.
- Two kinds of task: labeling, and the validation in which labels are reviewed.
- Each task has an assignee, a status and a priority; an analyst claims a task or is given it.
- What a task covers: its files, their duration, and the labels produced so far.
Capabilities
Data management
Monitored imports with duplicate detection; source inventory; spectrogram display in the browser; query language for labels (AND, OR, NOT, comparisons, aggregates) in the interface and the API.
Work organization
Task assignment, review and supervision; assistance requests; activity statistics per user and for administrators.
Automated processing
Ezako’s algorithms run on the server, alongside the data: signature search, vessel passages. The processing history of each file is recorded with its parameters.
Training datasets
Immutable, versioned datasets built from labels, partitioned and exported in WebDataset or Hugging Face format.
Integration
Python SDK; API keys with scopes, source restrictions and access logging; model plug-ins.
Operations and security
HTTPS; nightly backup of the database, recordings and AIS data; password hashing to current standards; server components running without privileges; versioned, verified upgrades.
