Underwater acoustics
Ezako labels and detects the events of hydrophone, array and distributed acoustic sensing recordings: vessel passages, sonar emissions and biological sources, with AIS tracks alongside the signal. The work is done in Upalgo, on the customer’s infrastructure and fully offline.
What is labeled and detected
Vessel passage detection
Each passage is characterised by its closest point of approach, its speed and a confidence index, and correlated with AIS data when available. When the sensor position is known, bathymetry and sound speed profile are attached to the label.
Acoustic source classification
Regions emerging from the background noise are isolated and classified as biological or anthropogenic, including on sites and sources not previously encountered.
Signature search
Search of an entire archive for a reference signature, taken from existing labels or defined in the application. Results are checked on a sample, false detections are excluded, and the remainder is converted into a labeling task.
Vessel tracking on fibre
From a vessel’s signature along a DAS cable, its speed, course and position are estimated, with or without AIS.
